Colourful Filet Lace Midi Dress with a black background and black zipper detail on back. The dress comes with a detachable black slip dress.

The name filé comes from the French name “filet”, which means network. In fact, it is embroidery on a network of threads. It is created with floral themes on top of a mesh that resembles the fishing net of the artisans’ husbands who live on the coastal state of Alagoas in Brazil. It is there where women weave for their own survival using coloured threads.

It is a job done with great love and dedication, always seeking to innovate and transmit the joy and contagious energy of the people from Alagoas for each piece created and delivered to you who also enjoy and appreciate the beauty and delicacy of manual labor.

All pieces are of exquisite quality made with 100% cotton yarn and with an impeccable fit. This dress is very versatile and can be also worn as a cover-up on the beach.

The production time varies according to the garment, a dress for example, can take up to 20 days.

The filet lace is very supple and fits the body, so the sizes can vary a little from one piece to another because it is a handmade design.

 

Washing instructions:

Wash with mild soap, maximum water temperature 40C,  do not machine wash, do not squeeze, can twist gently, dry in the shade, horizontally, without hanging,  do not iron.
